Opportunity
Young adults were lagging behind in COVID-19 vaccination rates. ACHA needed a campaign that would resonate with college students coming from diverse backgrounds and areas and encourage them to get vaccinated, not through fear, but by connecting to their values and daily lives.

Approach

Researched audience needs
Reviewed formative research and collaborated with strategists to understand young adults’ motivations and barriers.
Developed campaign identity
Created a flexible visual system and logo that could adapt across platforms, from posters to social media graphics.

Designed inclusive visuals
Used diverse, relatable imagery and clear messaging to appeal broadly while remaining culturally sensitive.
Ensured accessibility
Applied Section 508 standards so that materials were usable by the widest possible audience.

Collaborated cross-functionally
Worked closely with writers, project managers, and developers to ensure messaging and visuals aligned.
Impact

Reflection
This project reinforced the importance of balancing clarity, inclusivity, and relatability in public health design. It also strengthened my expertise in building adaptable systems that scale across institutions and allowed junior designers to extend the campaign by producing graphics that stayed true to the visual identity and creative vision I established.
